Welcome
Media Junky is an online Trading Card Game based on Japanese rock bands. The main focus of this TCG is on Japanese rock bands from the '80s to present groups. There may be bands from the '70s to be added at a later date if I can find good quality images.

Forum & Site-related Update |

Sorry for not updating yesterday. I was working on Rockaria so I can have it open by the end of the week and a screencap site. I have replied to everything in my inbox and on the forums. If I have not messaged you back, especially if you donated something via email, please email me. I sometimes think I sent the email out when I haven't. Deck Suggestions I'm just going to answer some questions I have received. Can I request so-and-so? I don't know if they fit the TCG's theme. I'm not going to be real picky on what artists will be added to TCG as long as it makes somewhat sense. Like it wouldn't make any sense to make a Ayumi Hamasaki or KAT-TUN deck since, well, they are the text book examples of idol pop/Jpop. However, I will allow idol rock groups since they do have rock elements in their music. If I'm not familiar with an artist, I will check out them out and determine whether or not if they are "rock" enough. I usually allow most artists through. Also, I will only take artist suggestions that are from Japan to the TCG. The only band that would be allow to the TCG that isn't from Japan would be Cats in Boots, since half of the band was from Japan and one of the members was in Seikima II. Can I request [insert indie visual kei band here]? They're really popular and been around for a while. I am going to assume this refers to the "The band must be around for a year or more. If the band is disbanded, they have to have been together for at least two years." rule I have in the donation section. Like I have said in the donation information thread, this is to prevent of having tons of decks featuring visual kei bands that only been together for a year, somehow gets really popular, and then disband. The only way to get around this rule is if the band featured well-known musicians. Oh, I noticed that the hard rock band, Vow Wow, was requested for a future deck. If I cannot find enough pictures (aka me bugging one of my friends to scans some) of Vow Wow, I'm going to merge the Vow Wow deck with the Bow Wow deck. That due to Vow Wow being the same, but yet different, band as Bow Wow. (It's one of those confusing things that the Japanese HR/HM scene have going for it.) |
